Born on September 14, 1933 in Titusville, New Jersey, Fred Green (Fred Allen Green) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Senators over the course of his 5 year career. Green broke into the bigs on April 15, 1959 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.21 ERA in 70 innings pitched in 1960, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Fred Green's best season was 1960, when he posted a 3.21 ERA.
