Fred Gloden (Frederick J. Gloden, Jr.) was born on December 21, 1918 in Dubuque, Iowa. Gloden attended Tulane University. Gloden made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles the entire time. Gloden also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Miami Seahawks the entire time.

Most people believe that 1946 was Fred Gloden's best year.
