Fred Glade

Born on January 25, 1876 in Dubuque, Iowa, Fred Glade (Frederick Monroe Glade) played for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Browns and New York Highlanders over the course of his 6 year career. Glade broke into the bigs on May 27, 1902 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 2.27 ERA in 289 innings pitched in 1904, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Fred Glade's best season was 1904, when he posted a 2.27 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 156 batters.
