Fred Gillies

Fred Gillies (Frederick Montague Gillies) was born on December 9, 1895 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at University (Chicago, IL), Gillies attended Cornell University. Gillies made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals the entire time. Gillies also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals the entire time.
