Fred Getz (Frederick Getz) was born on March 16, 1909 in Memphis, Tennessee. Getz attended the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Getz made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
