Fred Failing (Fred C. Failing) was born on June 7, 1904 in Caro, Michigan. Failing attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Failing made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
