Fred DeStefano (Frederick Walter DeStefano) was born on April 4, 1900 in Coal City, Illinois. After going to high school at DeWitt Clinton (Bronx,NY), DeStefano attended Columbia University, Northwestern University and Princeton University. DeStefano made his professional debut in the NFL in 1924 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 2 year career.
