Fred Bennett (James Fred Bennett) was born on March 15, 1902 in Atkins, Arkansas. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1928 for the St. Louis Browns. Bennett played for the St. Louis Browns and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year career.
