Fred Beene

Born on November 24, 1942 in Angleton, Texas, Fred Beene (Freddy Ray Beene) played for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 7 year career. Beene broke into the bigs on September 18, 1968 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 2.34 ERA in 57.2 innings pitched in 1972, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Fred Beene's best season was 1973, when he posted a 1.68 ERA.
