Born on May 15, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Fred Baczewski (Frederic John Baczewski) played for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 3 year career. Baczewski broke into the bigs on April 26, 1953 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.64 ERA in 148.1 innings pitched in 1953, his rookie year.
