Morales spent time in Double A, Triple A and the majors in 2007 with his performances increasing along with his level of competition. Morales has reached the upper 90's with his fastball but has more movement and better command if he stays in the 92-93 range. He has two curve balls, one slow, one hard and an improving changeup, and has a plus mentality on the mound. Morales' weaknesses are knowing what to throw in certain situations and trusting his stuff. Morales is a good athlete as referenced in his .308 batting average and while he should start the season in Colorado, the Rockies will force him to earn his spot.
