Frankie Zak (Frank Thomas Zak) was born on February 22, 1922 in Passaic, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1944 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .300 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. Zak played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 3 year career.
