Frank Whitney (Frank Thomas Whitney) was born on February 18, 1856 in Brockton, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 17, 1876 for the Boston Red Caps. In 1876, his rookie year, he hit .237 with 0 home runs and 15 RBI. Whitney played for the Boston Red Caps for his entire 1 year career.
