Frank Whitcomb (Frank E. Whitcomb) was born on December 7, 1896. After going to high school at Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA), Whitcomb attended Syracuse University. Whitcomb made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Rochester Jeffersons. He played for the Rochester Jeffersons for his entire 1 year career.
