Frank Schulte (Frank M. Schulte) was born on September 17, 1882 in Cohocton, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 21, 1904 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1905, his rookie year, he hit .274 with 1 home run and 47 RBI. Schulte played for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Senators over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Frank "Wildfire" Schulte's best season was 1911, when he slugged 21 home runs, hit for a .300 average and knocked in 107 runs.

Schulte died in Oakland, California at age of 67.
