Frank Purnell (Franklin Purnell) was born on April 5, 1933 in Sweatman, Mississippi. After going to high school at Spring Hills (Sweatman, MS), Purnell attended Alcorn State University. Purnell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1957 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 1 year career.
