Frank Mayer (Francis George Mayer) was born on June 18, 1902 in Glencoe, Minnesota. After going to high school at Glencoe (MN), Mayer attended Iowa State University and the University of Notre Dame. Mayer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1927 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 1 year career.
