Frank Malzone (Frank James Malzone) was born on February 28, 1930 in Bronx, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1955 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1957, his rookie year, he hit .292 with 15 home runs and 103 RBI. Malzone played for the Boston Red Sox and California Angels over the course of his 12 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Frank Malzone's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1959, when he slugged 19 home runs, hit for a .280 average and knocked in 92 runs. However, others believe that it was 1957, when he slugged 15 home runs, hit for a .292 average and knocked in 103 runs.
