Frank LaPorte (Frank Breyfogle LaPorte) was born on February 6, 1880 in Uhrichsville, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 29, 1905 for the New York Highlanders. In 1906, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 2 home runs and 54 RBI. LaPorte played for the New York Highlanders, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators and Newark Peppers over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Frank LaPorte's best season was 1914, when he hit for a .311 average and knocked in 107 runs.
