Born on October 13, 1951 in San Jose, California, Frank LaCorte (Frank Joseph LaCorte) played for the Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros and California Angels over the course of his 10 year career. LaCorte broke into the bigs on September 8, 1975 with the Atlanta Braves, and put up a 4.70 ERA in 105.1 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Frank LaCorte's best season was 1980, when he posted a 2.82 ERA, notched 11 saves and struck out 66 batters.
