Frank Kostro (Frank Jerry Kostro) was born on August 4, 1937 in Windber, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1962 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1963, his rookie year, he hit .225 with 2 home runs and 10 RBI. Kostro played for the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 6 year career.
