Frank Gilhooley (Frank Patrick Gilhooley) was born on June 10, 1892 in Toledo, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1911 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1916, his rookie year, he hit .278 with 1 home run and 10 RBI. Gilhooley played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that Frank Gilhooley's best season was 1918, when he hit for a .276 average.
