Frank Gibson (Frank Gilbert Gibson) was born on September 27, 1890 in Omaha, Nebraska. He made his Major League debut on April 22, 1913 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1922, his rookie year, he hit .299 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI. Gibson played for the Detroit Tigers and Boston Braves over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Frank Gibson's best season was 1925, when he hit for a .278 average and knocked in 50 runs.
