Frank Gallagher (Frank J. Gallagher) was born on March 2, 1943 in Chester, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at St. James (Chester, PA), Gallagher attended the University of North Carolina. Gallagher made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 7 year career.
