Born on August 30, 1935 in Washington, D.C., Frank Funk (Franklin Ray Funk) played for the Cleveland Indians and Milwaukee Braves over the course of his 4 year career. Funk broke into the bigs on September 3, 1960 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.31 ERA in 92.1 innings pitched in 1961, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Frank Funk's best season was 1961, when he posted a 3.31 ERA, won 11 games, notched 11 saves and struck out 64 batters.
