Frank Ellerbe

Frank Ellerbe (Francis Rogers Ellerbe) was born on December 25, 1895 in Marion County, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on August 28, 1919 for the Washington Senators. In 1920, his rookie year, he hit .292 with 0 home runs and 36 RBI. Ellerbe played for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Frank Ellerbe's best season was 1921, when he hit for a .286 average and knocked in 50 runs.
