Born on October 22, 1956 in Syracuse, New York, Frank DiPino (Frank Michael DiPino) played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 12 year career. DiPino broke into the bigs on September 14, 1981 with the Milwaukee Brewers, and put up a 2.65 ERA in 71.1 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Frank DiPino's best season was 1983, when he posted a 2.65 ERA, notched 20 saves and struck out 67 batters.
