Frank Demaree (Joseph Franklin Demaree) was born on June 10, 1910 in Winters, California. He made his Major League debut on July 22, 1932 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1933, his rookie year, he hit .272 with 6 home runs and 51 RBI. Demaree played for the Chicago Cubs, New York Giants, Boston Braves, St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Frank Demaree's best season was 1937, when he slugged 17 home runs, hit for a .324 average and knocked in 115 runs.
