Frank Bissell (Franklin H.P. Bissell) was born on August 15, 1902 in Oberlin, Ohio. After going to high school at West (Akron, OH), Bissell attended Fordham University. Bissell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Akron Pros. He played for the Akron Indians and Akron Pros over the course of his 2 year career.
