Born on April 14, 1944 in San Francisco, California, Frank Bertaina (Frank Louis Bertaina) played for the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 7 year career. Bertaina broke into the bigs on August 1, 1964 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 3.13 ERA in 63.1 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Frank Bertaina's best season was 1967, when he posted a 2.99 ERA and struck out 86 batters.
