Born on April 26, 1972 in Cerro Azul, Veracruz (Mexico), Francisco Cordova (Francisco Cordova) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 5 year career. Cordova broke into the bigs on April 2, 1996 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.09 ERA in 99 innings pitched in 1996, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Francisco Cordova's best season was 1998, when he posted a 3.31 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 157 batters.
