Fran Polsfoot (Francis Charles Polsfoot) was born on April 19, 1927 in Montesano, Washington. After going to high school at Montesano (WA), Polsfoot attended Washington State Universtiy. Polsfoot made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals and Washington Redskins over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1951 was Fran Polsfoot's best year, as he hauled in 57 receptions, had 796 receiving yards, caught 4 TD passes and had a 40.7 yard punt average.
