The 2007 NFL Broadcast teams have been announced by Fox Sports. The lead team remains the same: Joe Buck with Troy Aikman, but Pam Oliver takes over the sideline reporting duties. There is a bit of a shake-up in the other two teams: Kenny Albert will team with Daryl Johnston while Dick Stockton will be paired with Brian Baldinger.
The studio show sounds like it will be the most different. It sounds like they will mostly broadcast from the studio rather than traveling to game sites. That means Buck is out as part of the pre-game show! Curt Menefee takes over as the new host, joining regulars Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long. His panel will include Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and Jay Glazer. Switzer and Johnson will apparently debate each other in a segment called "Coaches Corner" with Bradshaw acting as moderator/referee. Personally, I think that sounds like a perfect time to grab a beer, switch channels or walk the dog.
All in all, I think there is a bit of improvement in the broadcast teams, but I'm not sure about the pre-game show. Certainly getting rid of Buck is a plus, but adding Switzer may be just as big a minus.
