For something that everyone hates, it sure does well

Everyone knew about the ESPN segment, titled "Who's Now?" And similarly, everyone seemed to have a strong opinion about it - namely, that it sucked. I can't tell you how many blogs I read that complained about the segment and how it was so horrible, and to tell the truth, I agreed. But the difference is that I knew that a lot of people actually liked the segment. ESPN's ombudsman has pointed this out in her column on the "Who's Now?" series. She writes that almost 5 million votes were cast for the competition. I think that verifies that although the series was annoying to most people, a lot of other people enjoyed it - whether they admitted that or not. Enough is enough. "Who's Now?" was pretty dumb, but I know that all those talking about being so anti-ESPN and so anti-"Who's Now?" were the ones voting and then tuning in to see who beat who. Bashing the "Who's Now?" segment was as in-vogue for bloggers as trashing ESPN still is. I know that ESPN has fallen off a little, but I know that you still watch it, so just shut-up. If I have to read another blog about how ESPN sucks, I'm going to vomit. I got news for all the bloggers out there - ESPN is awesome and it always will be, whether you blog about how you "don't watch it anymore" (which is a lie) or not.
