Foppa Vancouver Bound?

Vancouver Canucks' fans are getting extra excited as rumours are circulating that [1] Peter Forsberg may join the Canucks. Canuck captain Markus Naslund has even come out and stated that he's trying to convince Foppa to join the Vancouver team.

Of course, some Canuck fans are already saying that he's not the answer, like we're some shattered team or something, that needs an answer. These are probably also the same people who thought Paul Kariya would be the best thing to happen to the team. Wrong. Forsberg, when healthy is considered to be the best player in the world, by many people. Fact of the matter is, even when he's injured he's one of the best in the world. The comfort level for him and Naslund, and even the Sedin twins, and Ohlund is definitely there. Adding Peter Forsberg to any team makes it better. Period.

You don't want Forsberg. He is damaged goods. A shell of what he use to be. Take it from someone who watched him last season.

I agree. If Forsberg was 100 percent, don't you think someone would have snapped him up in the early stages of free agency instead of waiting until almost every big name was gone?

I think "adding" forsberg is good...he can't hurt the team...although depending on the price and length of the deal, it may be risky...but a 1-2 year deal with little cap implications sounds good...

He definitely can hurt the team. He takes up a roster spot and may only play in 50% of the games. That, my friend, becomes a distraction. It screws up the lines. It simply is not worth it.
