Floyd Simmons (Floyd Weston Simmons) was born on February 19, 1925 in Portland, Oregon. After going to high school at Jefferson (Portland, OR), Simmons attended the University of Notre Dame. Simmons made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Chicago Rockets. He played for the Chicago Rockets for his entire 1 year career.
