Florida State Fans....Not So Nice?

Watching the Clemson, FSU game on TV, everything looked great. I saw a good game and my Tigers pulled out the victory for the first time in Doak Campbell stadium since 1989. However, when I got back to school on Monday, alot of students I know went to the game, and they had some things to tell me about the fans.
The first girl I talked to told me that she knew a few people at Florida State so she went down and stayed with them, and obviously tailgated with them before the game. People came up and were literally harrassing her as to why she had a Clemson shirt on(which is fairly obvious)and she said that it got to the point where one of the guys was in her face yelling at her. Then he walked off laughing at her. She said she was in tears, and said that her FSU friends were embarrassed for the school just because of what these idiots decided to do to her. That was just the first one I heard so I assumed it would be just one incident...I was wrong.
There were many more like that. A couple I know said that throughout the entire game stuff was thrown at them which was followed with "turn around and look at me, I dare you." There are many more of these stories from friends, to the point where one guy was like "I didn't even think they cared about the game, they just wanted to make us have a horrible time." Has it really come to that in some places in College Football?
I'm not trying to toot our own horn(well I guess I am a little bit), but before every home game our President at Clemson urges us to be courteous and welcoming to any incoming fans...and amazingly we are. We played Texas A&M last year and the week after the game, our student newspaper was flooded with emails and letters from Texas A&M fans wanting to thank us for our hospitality. Saying things like they have never been to another place where people are so cordial to the other teams fans. I talked to a bunch of the Miami fans at the game last year and they said we are so passionate about our team that they could not believe how friendly we were as well.
Is this so hard to do? Do we have to be belligerantly mean just because we care about our team? No, we do not. This is for all you guys out there who do act like some of those Florida State fans: It's just a game. These are real people though. A little good natured heckling never hurt anyone, just don't cross the line.
