Florida's win will be another cry for playoffs in College Football

As an Arkansas Razorbacks fan, I am rooting for the SEC, and I hope that Florida wins the College Football National Championship. But my hopes go even beyond that.
A few months ago Ohio State was already crowned National Champion in the minds of most members of College Football elite. In fact, it was already decided they would win it all this year at the end of last season a year ago. College Football does not desire a playoff system for many reasons, and one of them is that they think they have a finger on the pulse of the game.
Okay, they were a bit surprised when LSU not only won, but kicked Notre Dames tail, and was probably even more amazed when USC stuck it to Michigan so handedly. But then again, USC beating Michigan made them think, okay, our system works. We have the true #1 and #2 up against each other. Still, Ohio State is unbeatable.
But what if Florida beats Ohio State, and they do it in a crushing fashion? And what about Boise State? They beat Oregon State who beat USC who slaughtered Notre Dame, and then the Broncos beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl to boot, remaining undefeated. Okay, we all know that Ohio State, Florida, and a good number of other teams at the top would crush Boise State, right? Right? Are we totally sure? Oklahoma was expected to beat them.
The NCAA doesn't want a playoff system because of money. Face it, that is what it is all about. Money, and the bowl games bring in a lot of it. Who cares if the Peach Bowl is now the Chick Fil-a Bowl? Who cares? They've got a couple teams out there with winning records in the post season fighting it out in a bowl game that may or may not be watched by many, but brings in enough sponsors to line the pockets of everyone that desires more money in their pocket involved.
They say, "Aw, but what about tradition? Wasn't it nice getting back to the Pac 10 and Big 10 in the Rose Bowl?"
Too many teams are getting to too many bowls to the point that we really don't care much about the bowls anymore. It's ridiculous. Does it really matter if TCU kicked the living junk out of Northern Illinois in the Poinsettia Bowl?
Okay, how about this, and I know you are sick of all of these playoff theories that'll never make it to reality, but let me give you just one more:
Let's make it so that roughly only half the teams that get to bowl games will get to them each year in the future. It'll take a better record, a ranking, and a true position for the National Title to go to a bowl Heightens competition, but you keep all your bowls. Yes, that's right, a way to allow the bowls to coexist with a playoff system.
But how do you keep all the bowls with only half the teams?
Minor bowls first, then the winners advance to the major bowls, then BCS style calculations determine top 2 or 4 teams, depending how you want to do it, and then do as they do now and have an extra game or two or three after the final bowl to settle the championship.
Hey, something's gotta work. 1A Football is the only sport that I know of that determines it's champion without a playoff system, and essentially, off the field.
