Fletcher Smith (Fletcher Leon Smith) was born on October 10, 1943 in Hearne, Texas. After going to high school at Booker T. Washington (Dallas, TX), Smith attended Tennessee State University. Smith made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 4 year AFL career.Smith also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals the entire time.
