Firpo Mcgilbra (Louis Vance McGilbra) was born on November 5, 1906 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Checotah (Muskogee, OK), Mcgilbra attended Haskell Indian Nations University. Mcgilbra made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Buffalo Rangers. He played for the Buffalo Rangers for his entire 1 year career.
