Fire Kevin McHale

This is hard to say, and I'm kinda embarassed to admit it. I, False Prophet, am a closeted Minnesota Timberwolves fan. Yep, the team that will always be just below .500, and never get any better until KG retires. We are stuck in Neutral.
Not only do we have a GM that should be arrested for what he's done to the club. He and the rest of the club down on First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis have ruined a mediocre franchise. They had their run in 2004. Oh, I remember it like yesterday. It was one of the two years I held season tickets for the t puppies. KG was the MVP, Sam Cassell was an all star player, hell, even Michael Olowokandi wasn't awful back then. Spree was still in the league, and the Wolves made it to the Western Conference Finals.
Things have changed dramatically over the past few year. Spree is gone, we signed T-Hud to an outrageous deal, and made the worst trade in NBA history. We sent Cassell to the Clippers for Marko Aric, and we gave up a first round pick!!! WHAT THE HECK!!! We traded an all star for a worthless player who has an enormous contract. Then, we traded Sczerbiak and Olowokandi to Boston with a first round pick for Marcus Banks, who left for PHX; Mark Blount, a mediocre Center, and Ricky Avis, who is an average player who thinks he's head and shoulders above the best ever.
So now, it's 2007. We won't get Oden or Durant, nor anyone decent untill 2010 at the earliest. We owe teams 2 first round picks, and need to repay them. We fired Cassey who took the wolves to a 20-20 record, and made Randy Foye a ROY candidate, and replaced him with a coach that has since gone 12-30. So what does the Idiot McHale do? He gives the coach an extension. On top of that, KG is running out of time, and for all we know, may never don the Blue and Green again in the Target Center.
We need to fire McHale. Fred Hoiberg is waiting in the wings, and knows how to run a team. We need to trade T-Hud, Jaric, James, Davis, and possibly even Blount. What'd be nice is to send James and Davis to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal. Why would they do that? Davis' contract is up at the end of next year, and James' contract is over in the next few years. They essentially get to do whatever they want with the money, and chances are the Contracts match up. Next, we need to offer Jaric and T-Hud for anything that we can get. We need to let McCants and Foye start next season, and grow as a team with them. Look at the Bulls. Last year, they were a lottery team, and now, they're a legitimate playoff team. Anything that we can do helps.
Glen Taylor, please, fire McHale, like Now, as in, the moment you read this, you get to work on drafting a contract with Hoiberg. Please, don't make me suffer. Let KG finnish as a T-Wolve, and on a successful team. Get off the golf course, and on the phone.
