Final Four Field is Set

This year looked like it could have been the year where all the number 1 seeds has a great shot at making the Final Four together. But the complete opposite happened. None of the 1 seeds made it to the Final Four this year. First time since 1980. Even more hard to believe is a number 11 seed in George Mason pulled off the unthinkable. George Mason had to beat a tough Michigan State team in the first round, then they beat the defending national champs of UNC, then beat a hot Wichata State, and finally did the unthinkible, beat a number one seed that was projectd by many to win it all.

Florida also had a decisive win over Villanova to take the other number one seed. LSU beat a good Texas team behind Big Baby Davis. And finally UCLA beat Memphis.
