Final AGMVC Results: Florida is Number One; You Won't Guess Who's Number Two

The end of the 2006 College Football season has come and with that so ends the first year of the ArmchairGM Voting Committee's Top 25 College Football poll.
Being that I was the administrator for the poll the last half of the season or so, I thought I'd give some feedback along with the final poll results (hence the opinion tag).
This is by far the most subjective poll ever recorded in the history of sports. Seeing the votes match up with the user fan boxes was laughable at times. Of course this was created as a fun thing for sports fans to try, but some times things just didn't make sense because of the homer factor.
There's no better example of this blatant favoritism than the final week of voting. Throughout the early weeks there were several users, namely Michigan fans, who put off voting Ohio State number one until as late in the season as possible. These same users used Ohio States Fiesta Bowl loss as an excuse to get back at the hated Buckeyes. This caused the AGM poll to be the only poll in the nation not to rank Ohio State (who went 2-1 against number two ranked teams) in the number two spot behind Florida.
The other possible choice most would consider for second place would be the undefeated Boise State team. A small debate raging between AGM users about the Broncos' merits caused some to rank them number one and others to rank them as low as possible without it looking completely out of place. So, Boise State is out of the number two spot as well.
So who then fills the number two void? It is the USC team that spanked Michigan and ranked number 4 or 5 in national polls? No, despite a number two ranking by a few users (including some Trojan faithful), USC didn't get second place because some (ok, maybe just me) who were annoyed with the shameless downgrading of Ohio State decided to balance those out with the biggest possible downgrading of USC (hey, fight fire with fire, right?).
Would it be a Wisconsin team with only one loss? Nope.
Would The Beast's Louisville predictions miss by only one place? Not happening.
No, the number two team in the AGM College Football team would be another team that lost to Florida. Oh yeah, and AGM 9th-ranked Auburn. That's right, in second place, your LSU Tigers.
Perhaps it's not that surpising. The Tigers came in third in most polls and with arguing over the other number two options they just swooped right in (as well as Tigers can swoop) and beat Ohio State by one point, USC by two. Boise State's undefeated record got them a whopping fifth place behind two two-loss teams.
Oh yeah, one more thing: If it wasn't for a bum ballot (which occured rather frequently), Ohio State would have been number two and Boise State would have been either number three or four. With such a small voting group every last vote matters which give the favoritism that much more weight.
Anyway, thanks to all who participated this year. It was an interesting experiment. Whether or not it was successful, you be the judge.
I am henceforth resigning from the AGM College Football Poll duties and wish good luck (and much free time) to whomever may take it on in the future.
