Fernando Smith (Fernando Dewitt Smith) was born on August 2, 1971 in Flint, Michigan. After going to high school at Northwestern (Flint, MI), Smith attended Jackson State University. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1994 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1996 was Fernando Smith's best year, as he recorded 9.5 sacks.
