Born on March 21, 1952 in Sacramento, California, Fernando Arroyo (Fernando Arroyo) played for the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 8 year career. Arroyo broke into the bigs on June 28, 1975 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 4.56 ERA in 53.1 innings pitched in 1975, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Fernando Arroyo's best season was 1977, when he posted a 4.17 ERA and struck out 60 batters.
