Federer Gets Good Draw

Roger Federer was given an extremely beneficial draw in the French Open, beginning this Sunday. He was able to avoid being in the same pool as any previous French Open champions. He is, however, in the same pool as No. 20 Tomas Byrdych, who managed to defeat him at Athens two years ago. Still, the selection process gave Federer as good a draw as he could have hoped for as he looks for his fourth straight major title, though he has never won the French Open. His first opponent is No. 56 Arnaud Clement, who Federer has defeated in their last five matches.
