Faye Throneberry (Maynard Faye Throneberry) was born on June 22, 1931 in Fisherville, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1952 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1952, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 5 home runs and 23 RBI. Throneberry played for the Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators and Los Angeles Angels over the course of his 8 year career.
