Favre To Play In 2007

Brett Favre announced Friday that would return to the Green Bay Packers for a 17th NFL season. "I am so excited about coming back," the 37-year-old Favre said. "We have a good nucleus of young players. We were 8-8 last year, and that's encouraging."

Favre has been the Packers' starting quarterback since September 27, 1992, and has started every Green Bay game since then -- a remarkable 257 consecutive games, including the playoffs.

"My offensive line looks good, the defense played good down the stretch," Favre told a newspaper in Biloxi, Miss. "I'm excited about playing for a talented young football team."

Whoa there folks, lets hold off declaring this challenge over. Favre could change his mind. He could get in a motorcycle accident and blow out his knee, ending his career forever. Yes, Favre did say he will be back. Lets see if he will follow through. If he reports, I will happily write the F1 articles that I said I would. But right now, it is too early to call this.
