Fantasy Sports KOs MLB Again

Score another home run for the fantasy sports industry as the big win fantasy sports operator CBC Industries won against Major League Baseball was upheld by the Eighth Circuit of Appeals.  In a 2-1 decision, the Eight Circuit  ruled that the companies that operate fantasy sports leagues have a First Amendment right to use players' names and statistics for free.  The Court found that the company's First Amendment right to free speech superseded any right to publicity that MLB or the players may have.  Score a big one for fantasy players everywhere.

That was jus greedy on the MLB's part to go after them...between TV, video games and merchandise they make enough money why go after free fantasy baseball leagues
