Fantasy Football Draft ( Rosters In!! )

OKay today we had our annual footbal draft at my friends house. This is a 6 team league with 2 keepers each and is for $30. 1st gets 100, 2nd gets 50, and 3rd gets 30 their money back. Here are the rosters: let me know who you think has the best teams.

can we start by saying a 6 team league is ridiculous because of the stacked rosters that come out of it? Everyone has superstars at every position, backed up by other star players. That said you can't go against team 6, Manning, Tomlinson and Jones-Drew are all fantasy studs.

There is no challenge in a six man league. A blind monkey, a head of lettuce, hell, even Dan Quayle could put together an All Pro team in a league with so few teams.

You don't understand, its between a few friends, I mean if we could get a few more people we would but nobody wants to pay 30 dollars and we just like to be competitive with each other and talk trash and just have bragging rights on each other. Also its not a online draft so we can't really get anyone that we don't because its not online. We are having a problem for baseball too next year, 2 of our members dropped out so we have to empty spots to fill. I mean filling a six man league is actually very hard in out situations. But thats what we think

I love how you choose to minus people because you can't face reality. Online drafts are easy to do. There is probably a reason no one wants to pony up 30 bucks, how do they know that there actually will be a legit payout? Do you guys sit and hand score everything too by reading the boxscores in Monday's paper? I mean, obviously you don't keep track of stuff online, since that doesn't work for you.

Umm no we use yahoo and we have to because two of the people live in the same house so it would be difficult to do...also we have been doing it since 2004 and have paid out every year you can ask mattB and RCarr they will let you know. Also I did not give you a thumbs down, that would be childish, and I explained to you how we do the 6 man league so there would be no reason to give you a thumbs down

you have two people that live in the same house, so you have to do an offline draft? My draft yesterday had a guy from Korea, two from Canada, one from England, and the rest scattered across the country. The commissioner can plug in a draft selection for a team in online drafts, at least they can on ESPN leagues, which would easily remedy that issue.

I am not the commisioner of the league so I just go along with the offline draft and have fun with it. We also go by how we finished the year before in the playoffs and a computer can mess up with two people logging on and off on yahoo on the same computer. So we all go over someones house which is 5 minutes away from everyone and do a 1hr and 1/2 draft there. Its very simple to do

4, 5, and 6 are all pretty damn good. I personally like 5 the best, The RB's are solid, McNabb was one of the top players untill he went down with injury. I'd say 5 has the best WR's. 4 has tons of upside, with a lot of players that can only get better. 6 is the safe team, nothing bold, but a solid team

donnie buddy. there are wonderful writing tools called commas and when you use one, magical things happen. Words and names are separated into an easy to read sentences, rather than one big run-on one. By the way, team 2's gunna romp. Just wait.

Its hard to do because its a offline draft and its hard to get people to be willing to pay the 30 dollars to get in. We had a hard time getting one person in our baseball league last year

What's with all the haters on the 6-team-leauge? It's not like it's for big money, just $100/$50/$30 and between friends, everyone gets their share of superstars, but it's pretty tough to put together an all-out juggernaut consensus #1 team. I think #4 is the best of the league.

silencer, I'm guessing you never did an in-person draft? I'm trying to play a bit of peacemaker lol, but it's a lot more fun I think you'd agree if you've been a part of one. Online there's no trash talkin, snacks, game on, drinks...it's just alot more of an activity and glorified by commercials too haha.

Actually, you would be wrong. When I was in the military, I did do in person drafts. Therefore, you are incorrect in your presumption. I didn't find it more entertaining, it is much more conducive to focus and make your selections without a bunch of people yapping while you are making decisions. Last I checked you could have the game on, eat snacks and drink at your computer, and talk trash in the online draft rooms...since I did all of those each of the last two Saturdays.

Well different people have different opinions and we think offline drafts are fun and if you prepare well enough for it then all of that wouldn't bother you. It's more fun to be around people while doing the draft anyways instead of staying at home and being bored like this is going by slow but thats my opinion

Interesting, I never once thought my online drafts went slow. I run two 14 team leagues, and the drafts were done in just about 2 hours both times. We have the same guys coming back year after year, and guys that are on a waiting list just to try and get in the league...something that obviously is not happening for your league.

Maybe we don't know as many people as you? You did say you were in the military right? Last I checked there are most deffinetly more people joining the military and fighting for us than us in a little town in Pennsylvania. So its harder for us to get people to sign up for 30 dollars alright

I don't think it's that the drafts online go slow, it's just that for me personally, time flies by during in-person drafts, and kinda drags on when I'm not preoccupied by something in the meantime. But like I said, whatever floats your boat.

It won last year but not the year before that...its been in the SuperBowl 3 times and only one once..i should have beat him last year but I messed up my roster. lost b y 10 and but Cedric in instead of Willie. LOL
